With no business plan or direction, the only question remaining for Odgen is, of course, how to finance his dream? Enter his father-in-law Efram, a fastidious and dashing figure, who reluctantly supports Ogden's endeavor, against his better judgment, for the sake of his long-suffering daughter Lavinia.

A series of completely avoidable comedic mishaps and industrial accidents, caused by Ogden's gross incompetence, as well as an accidental city-wide food poison epidemic are the steady products of Laime Inventions.

Despite the brilliant minds working under him, Ogden's bad decisions, mismanagement and lack of accountability foils their every effort resulting in only one lasting contribution to society: the modern corporate culture.

Finally after Ogden fires an under appreciated genius who's inventions just aren't "big" enough for Ogden's over-inflated ego, only months later to find this inventor making a fortune with these "tiny" ideas, Efram decides enough is enough while Ogden has a mental breakdown over the theft of these ideas and his inability to do anything about it, bringing Laime Inventions to an explosive conclusion.
